You sit with it between your thighs and squeeze. The two padded arms are hinged on a spring you can wind up to around thirty kilos using the knurled knob at the base, so it stays useful whether this is week one or month six. The small screen on the handle counts reps as you go and tracks how long you have been at it, which turns a vague intention into a number you can beat tomorrow.
The pads are broad and softly lined, so the pressure spreads across the inside of the leg instead of digging into one spot, and the whole thing is light enough to leave beside the sofa and pick up during whatever you are watching. Ten minutes at a stretch is plenty.
Comes in green, pink, blue or grey, all with the counter built in. Wipe the pads with a damp cloth now and then.
